Respect for Privacy and Confidentiality

At C.R.E.A.T.E. Connection, we believe that a safe and supportive community is built on trust, respect, and the protection of privacy. We are committed to fostering an environment where all members—students and parents—feel secure in knowing that their personal information and individual learning needs are treated with the utmost respect and confidentiality.

We recognize that homeschool families often share personal information related to children’s academic progress, health, and emotional well-being. Our program is designed to maintain the privacy of all such details and ensure that everyone’s personal data is handled responsibly and with care.

Creating a Safe and Respectful Community

Privacy Matters

We understand that privacy is essential to building strong, trusting relationships within our community. Therefore, any personal or sensitive information shared within C.R.E.A.T.E. Connection programs, whether by parents or students should be considered confidential. This includes, but is not limited to, academic records, health information, family dynamics, and any other details shared in confidence.

Members are asked to respect the privacy of others by not sharing such information outside of the community without the express consent of the individual or family involved. We encourage everyone to be mindful of the impact their words may have on the privacy of others and to always prioritize confidentiality when discussing personal matters.

Individual Learning Needs

We honor and respect the unique learning needs of each child within our community. It is important to remember that every student’s learning journey is personal, and we strive to ensure that information regarding a child’s educational progress, challenges, or special requirements is kept private and shared only with those who need to know, in order to support the child’s growth and development.

Any modifications or accommodations made to support a child’s learning should be discussed only with appropriate program leaders, educators, and parents, with all parties maintaining respect for the privacy of the child and their family.

Safety & Well-being

The safety and well-being of every child involved in our programs is our top priority. We are dedicated to maintaining a safe and nurturing environment where students feel valued and protected. If any safety concerns arise, whether related to physical or emotional well-being, they must be reported immediately to program leaders, administrators, or designated staff members.

Confidentiality regarding these concerns is paramount, and it is essential that sensitive information regarding safety or well-being is shared only with the appropriate individuals, in accordance with established protocols.

We trust all members of our community to act with care and responsibility in these matters, ensuring that any reports or concerns are handled with discretion and in the best interest of the children.

Handling Personal Information

In some instances, personal information may need to be collected, such as for registration, emergency contacts, or health-related matters. This information will be stored securely and used only for the purpose it was collected. It will not be shared with third parties without permission, except in cases where there is a legal obligation to do so (such as in emergency situations or when required by law).

We encourage all community members to communicate openly with program leaders about their child’s needs, but always within the context of maintaining respect for privacy and confidentiality.

Photo and Media Consent

We value the privacy of every individual in our community, and as such, we will never share photographs or videos of children without prior consent. Photographs or video recordings may be taken during C.R.E.A.T.E. Connection activities for promotional purposes, event highlights, or for educational materials, but this will only be done with the explicit permission of parents or guardians.

All photos taken will only be shared within private class groups. If a family does not wish to have their child photographed or filmed, they can notify administration in writing at the beginning of the year and we will make every effort to respect this preference, ensuring that no images are captured or shared without permission.

We also ask that all members of the community respect others' privacy by not taking or sharing images of children or families outside our private group. This includes sharing images on social media or in group settings where others may be present.
